DDG reflects on his humble beginnings with his “9 Lives” video featuring NLE Choppa and Polo G.
Courtesy of Director Prime, DDG revisits his old Pontiac, MI neighborhood and depicts the struggles growing up. “But for my family, that’s alright, I’m doing anything / It’s to the point where I feel bad for buying any bling, he begins in the clip.
NLE Choppa recounts his drug addiction from the pews of a local church, while Polo G counts his blessings from the streets. The rags to riches store soon ends with DDG posing with his relatives for a family portrait.
The collaboration is off DDG’s new album, It’s Not Me It’s You, which also features guests Halle Bailey, Gunna, Kevin Gates, and Babyface Ray.
